Insane Conservative Presidential Hopeful Wants Taliban-Style Christianity in the United States

Richard Darrell Trigg, a 54 year-old mining engineer from Rogersville, Tennessee has announced that he will run for President in 2016 on an entirely Christian platform.  He is forming the “Christian Party,” but because he cannot get that on the ballot in time for the 2016 election, he will run as an Independent this time around.


He says that under his administration, the First Amendment will be repealed and Christianity will be declared the official religion of the United States.  He would be willing to allow those of other faiths including Islam to live here, but they would be subject to the laws of this country which would be entirely Biblical in nature.


According to Trigg, he would increase school budgets and teacher pay, but every school day would begin with a Christian prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.  All public schools and universities would have mandatory Bible study as well.


Homosexuality would not be recognized by any government in the nation, from the lowest local government to the federal government.


Adultery would be punishable by harsh fines and jail time, while the legal age to marry nationwide would be 22 and divorce would not be allowed except in cases of abuse, infidelity and the imprisonment of a spouse.


He would raise the legal drinking age to 25 and ban all alcohol on college campuses and he would strictly censor all television and radio shows — as well as the internet.
Abortion would be allowed only in cases where the survivability of the child is doubtful or the mother’s life is in serious danger.


In a video announcement of his candidacy, Trigg says that Jesus Christ personally came to him and told him to run because it was God’s divine will that he become President.
“He has revealed himself to me spiritually and in physical ways,” he says, “Such that I have no doubt that this is his calling for me.  In Acts 26:16, Jesus told the Apostle Paul, ‘I have appeared unto you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness.’  I have no doubt that Christ has revealed himself to me to be the next President of the United States of America.”
